THIS IS A PODCAST ABOUT DISCOGRAPHIES.
We talk to musicians about their careers so far, using the records they’ve releases as landmarks along the way. We discuss how they were recorded, what their memories are of the time they were released and the processes involved in their writing.
John Helps has been making music and performing with UK based instrumental band Maybeshewill since 2005. During the course of their career they released four studio albums, toured extensively across four continents and eventually signed off with a sold out show at London’s Koko. In 2018 they reformed for a one off performance at Robert Smith’s Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre.
Alongside John runs The Robot Needs Home Collective – a ‘full-stack’ DIY music organisation based in Leicester, UK. They release records, promote shows and provide tour transport and merchandise services.
